Marcela comes from the world of ballet and contemporary dance. In 1998, she began to organize and register her own way of working with the body (Body Awareness Method® ,also she write a book) helping tango dancers move with greater freedom and sensitivity. Her approach focuses on the somatic language of dance, inviting each person to discover their own conscious and authentic movement, free from external pressures or demands. With over 45 years of experience in dance, Marcela integrates in her method her bodily experience in ballet, contemporary dance, tango, and her own evolving Method, which continues to grow and develop every day.
Throughout her extensive teaching career in body and movement, Marcela has guided dancers who went on to become prominent figures in the tango world and now lead academies in different parts of the globe. With respect and sensitivity, she has always preserved the confidentiality of these encounters.www.marcelatrape.com
Alberto is a tango dancer with deep roots in the Buenos Aires milonga scene. He received direct transmission from legendary milongueros such as Mingo Pugliese. With over 30 years of experience, he has not only danced on countless floors but has also guided generations of dancers from their very first steps, accompanying them with care as they grew into confident social dancers – and, in many cases, into professionals.
His way of teaching tango opened the doors to the mythical Canning Salon, the emblematic milonga of Buenos Aires, where he taught for 25 consecutive years. He also taught in tango schools in the Belgrano neighborhood, where he ran his own tango school, sharing his knowledge and experience with students of all levels.
Beyond Buenos Aires, Alberto has shared his knowledge in workshops around the world, always transmitting tango as a living culture rooted in the embrace and the dance floor. His teaching preserves the essence of the traditional milonga while opening new paths for today’s dancers.
